Who we are
The Institut de la Finance Durable is a branch of Paris Europlace born of the report ‘Making the Paris financial center a benchmark for climate transition: a framework for action (2022)‘ drafted at the request of the French Ministry of the Economy, Finance and Recovery.
Created in October 2022, the Institut de la Finance Durable aims to coordinate, federate and accelerate the Paris financial center’s action in terms of sustainable finance. The Institut de la Finance Durable supports the ecological transition and the transformation of the economy towards a low-carbon and sustainable model, aligned with the objectives of the Paris Agreement and the Sustainable Development Goals.
The ecological transition is not only a necessity, but also an opportunity for the economy: at the confluence of these challenges and stakeholders, the Institut de la Finance Durable aims to define concrete tools and proposals shared by all players in the Paris marketplace, and to promote the marketplace’s actions in the field of sustainable finance.
The Institut de la Finance Durable makes its proposals and positions known to public authorities and regulators at European and international levels. As part of its work and governance, the Institut de la Finance Durable also engages in dialogue with scientists, economists and sector experts.
